Protecting Your Data

Ensuring your data is safe and secure is one of the biggest considerations in everything we do.

We aim to

How We Protect Your Files is designed with multiple layers of protection across a distributed, reliable infrastructure. Securely access files from desktop, web, and mobile.

How We Protect Your Privacy

It's our responsibility to protect your files from unauthorised access. We've designed policies and controls to safeguard the collection, use, and disclosure of your information.

How We Protect Your Account provides several layers of protection to your account from attacks. To help keep your files safe, enable two-step verification and monitor account activity.

Protecting Your Files

Not Just Traditional Encryption encrypts all your files in transit and at rest.

Each file is encrypted twice, once before transmission, and once after, using AES-256 GCM encryption.

This means that if someone got access to our servers and then tried to perform a brute-force attack (hack it) using the worlds most powerful supercomputer, it would take approximately ~12.7e40 times longer than the age of the universe attack to gain access to your data.

Constant Testing

We regularly test our infrastructure and app to identify and patch vulnerabilities. We also work with third-party specialists, industry security teams, and the security research community to keep our users and their files safe.

Protecting Your Privacy

Hiding in Plain Sight, as much as possible, obfuscates your data (makes it unreadable). Not just what you upload, but your personal information too. This means that hackers can’t see your data, and we can’t either.

Hard-line Policies

We made a decision – privacy & security is important. Therefore, we would rather lose your data than have it stolen. As a result, from ground up, our systems in place hold to this philosophy. Encryption, obfuscation and non-retrieval are cornerstones of our programming philosophy.

Protecting Your Account

Strong Passwords

One of the biggest weak points in account security is users choosing weak, easily crackable passwords – especially when they share them with other services. A good password is one that’s easy for you to remember, but hard for others to guess. As a result, we enforce strong password generation to keep your account safe from prying eyes.

Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor authentication adds an additional layer of protection to your account. Each time you log in, will require a further 6-digit code via your preferred TFA method. This prevents someone from gaining access to your account even if they somehow gained access to your password.
